A Letter To You
Welcome to Bombex, your girl power tribe!
I can't believe I get to share my story with you girls today. I feel very grateful when I write this down since we've made it this far!
I'm not going to sugar-coat anything. Here is the real talk. I'd gotten a lot of judgments or doubts before as a female, an entrepreneur, a wife, a mother, and an adult toy business owner.
"Oh Emma, no offense, but maybe you need to start your diet."
"Emma, do you really think it's a good idea to quit your 9-5 to start your own company? I mean you are married so shouldn't you devote more time to your family? Plus, that's pretty foolish that you are risking your stable income for your family over something unpredictable."
"Emma, do you even have enough time to make your kids' lunch box since you are a busy "businesswoman" now?"
"OH MY GOD, Emma, never in a million years would I think that you are starting a sex toy company... Seriously? It's not a good look."
The list can go on and on, but I will stop it right here because none of that matters. Period.
I didn't let those doubts, questions, or judgments get to me or stop me because I knew my calling to unleash all the potentials as a woman and build something truly great for all my ladies and girls out there. I want us, as women, can be in a society where we all can unapologetically be our authentic selves.
Trust me, it took me a long time to figure all these out and have the mindset I have today.
I'm just an ordinary woman who had been through the phase where I didn't have my self-knowledge, which led me to not realize what I was actually capable of. I noticed the problem, and then I started digging deep into the sense of self spiritually and physically, which cultivated my independence. It makes me independent of the opinions of others and clear about the fact that my potentials are not defined by my role; instead, I have truly completed ownership of my future self by realizing and unlocking all my possibilities. That's why all the doubts didn't scare me away from achieving something better, something more significant.
Along the way of self-exploration with sexual exploration, I found that sex toys genuinely are the best tools for getting to know our bodies. Before that, I did not know how to please myself or achieve my sexual pleasure; that led me to not knowing what real orgasms are or the idea that there are actually different kinds of orgasms. I got too caught up in making sure I looked sexy, but I neglected to feel sexy. After some late-night meditation, my thoughts got sorted out. I wanted to feel sexy! I wanted to know my needs and be able to fulfill them! I craved to gain the power and confidently say, "I want to do this because it can make me come!" or "I don't like this because it makes me uncomfortable."
There, in that instant, I flipped the switch in my mind and started experiencing all different kinds of sex toys to learn about my body, my needs, my sexuality, and my sexual pleasure. I finally knew what did it really mean to feel sexy. After that, I shared my sexual exploration journey and my progress with my gals; they got so intrigued that they started their journey by exploring sex toys. Since then, they have become more and more confident about themselves and more comfortable with their bodies.
That's the power of sex toys! Sex toys help us know what we like, what we don't like, what makes us feel good, and what doesn't. It leaves us complete control of our bodies, which is so empowering. My body, my rules. Besides, the truth is we can have healthier body images, healthier sex lives, and healthier relationships when we are comfortable with our bodies and sexuality.
And that's the moment I decided to start Bombex, a sex toy brand tailored for women to enhance women's sexual wellness and all-around.
Bombex is more than a brand or product. Bombex is where we as women can come together to champion our potentials; Bombex is where we as women can thrive together by supporting each other's self-discovery journey; Bombex is where we as women can unapologetically be our authentic selves.
To my fellow women, remember, you are worthy, unique, intelligent, bold, strong, and full of potentials. Don't let anyone tell you what you can or can not do.
